This option covers all three SIA Trainer / Instructor Course components in one package. You will learn how to plan, deliver, and assess effective teaching and learning sessions, manage and resolve conflicts, and apply physical intervention techniques safely and legally.
Level 3 SIA-Trainer Instructor (Complete Package) Course Content:
The course content is divided into three modules:
- Level 3 Award in Education & Training: This module covers the roles and responsibilities of a teacher, the principles of inclusive teaching and learning, the methods of assessment, the factors that affect motivation and engagement, the strategies to create a safe and supportive learning environment, and the techniques to deal with potential problems and challenges. You will also be able to practice your teaching skills in practical sessions.
- Level 3 Award in Delivery of Conflict Management: This module covers the principles of conflict management, the factors that influence human behavior, the stages of conflict escalation and de-escalation, the communication skills for managing conflict, and the methods of designing and delivering conflict management scenarios. You will also be able to demonstrate your conflict management skills in simulated situations.
- Level 3 Award in Delivery of Physical Intervention: This module covers the knowledge and skills required to deliver physical intervention training, such as the legal and ethical aspects, the health and safety considerations, the risk assessment and management, the primary and secondary control skills, the pressure point applications, the balance displacement methods, the muscular dysfunction tactics, and the breakaway methods. You must also show competence in applying physical intervention techniques in realistic scenarios.
Course Assessment
The course assessment consists of a written assignment and a presentation/demonstration of techniques for each module.
You will receive full tutor support and feedback throughout the course. You will also have to complete a small portfolio of homework and 30 micro-teach presentations of 30 minutes each.
Level 3 SIA-Trainer Instructor (Complete Package) Course Requirements:
